Prof. Annamaria Pratelli is a Full Professor of Infectious Diseases of Animals at the University of Bari, Italy, and a globally recognized expert in veterinary virology and coronavirus research. She has been listed among the World’s Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University (2022 and 2025) and has contributed significantly to the study of animal coronaviruses and zoonotic diseases. With over 205 peer-reviewed publications, an H-index of 33, and more than 3,100 citations (Scopus, 2026), her work spans viral pathogenesis, epidemiology, and antiviral strategies. She has led multiple nationally funded research projects and actively contributed to SARS-related task forces in collaboration with national health authorities. Prof. Pratelli serves on several international editorial boards and has extensive experience in scientific evaluation and governance, with impactful contributions to One Health and global infectious disease research.
