Dr. Jacqueline Zhenru Lin is currently a Research Assistant Professor at the Centre for China Studies, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Her academic journey spans from Cambridge to Hong Kong, focusing on China Studies, Gender Studies, and Anthropology. Her research delves into Chinese transnationalism, digital media, nationalism, Social Anthropology and war commemoration.

Dr. Lin earned her D.Phil. in China Studies from the University of Cambridge in 2021. Prior to that, she completed an M.Phil. in Gender Studies and Anthropology at The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2016. Her academic foundation also includes an IBBA obtained in 2014.

Since August 2021, Dr. Lin has served as a Research Assistant Professor at the Centre for China Studies, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, where she continues to explore her research interests in Chinese transnationalism, digital media, nationalism, and war commemoration.
