Karma Detsen Ongmu Bhutia completed his MPhil in Geography from North Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong in 2015, achieving an impressive ‘A’ grade with a score of 70.4%. Prior to that, he earned an MSc in Geography from Sikkim University, Gangtok in 2012 with a ‘A’ grade (65%), and a BA (Honours) in Geography from North Bengal University in 2011 with a ‘B’ grade (53.3%). His foundational education includes Class XII and X from CBSE Board institutions, where he secured grades of 50.6% and 46%, respectively.

In addition to his academic qualifications, Karma holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Geoinformatics (Remote Sensing and GIS) from NEHU, Shillong (2016) with an ‘A’ grade (65.5%).
