Energy Comunity leader Prof. Masoud Rashidinejad is a distinguished Professor in the Electrical Engineering Department at Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman, Iran, recognized internationally for his contributions to power systems, smart grids, and energy system restructuring. Prof. Masoud Rashidinejad completed his academic education with a Diploma in Mathematics and Physics, followed by a BSc in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems), an MSc in Systems Planning, a PhD in Electrical Engineering specializing in power systems restructuring, and advanced post-doctoral research in optimized reactive power management at Brunel Institute of Power Systems in collaboration with the UK National Grid. His professional experience includes serving as a Visiting Professor at Queen’s University, Canada, leading the Iranian Society of Smart Grid, heading research and development for a major solar power plant, and holding senior leadership roles in science parks, chambers of commerce, and research centers. Prof. Masoud Rashidinejad’s research interests focus on smart grids, power system operation and restructuring, renewable energy integration, reserve pricing, energy markets, and sustainable energy communities. His research skills include power system modeling, optimization, energy market analysis, smart grid planning, and policy-driven energy system design. As an IEEE Senior Member with an H-index of 40, Prof. Masoud Rashidinejad has earned significant academic recognition and professional honors.
