Prof. Dr. Antônio Teixeira | Environmental Monitoring | Professor at Federal University of Sergipe | Brazil
Environmental Monitoring Prof. Dr. Antonio Teixeira is a distinguished environmental scientist and agrometeorology expert recognized for his long-standing contributions to remote sensing, water resources, and sustainable agricultural management. Prof. Dr. Antonio Teixeira holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences from Wageningen University, the Netherlands, where his doctoral research focused on evapotranspiration measurements and modeling to assess agricultural water productivity in changing land-use basins, supported by CAPES, following an M.Sc. in Meteorology from the Federal University of Paraíba and a B.Sc. in Agronomy from the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco. Prof. Dr. Antonio Teixeira has accumulated extensive professional experience as a collaborating and visiting professor at leading institutions including UNESP, the Federal University of Sergipe, and as a Global Fellow at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, teaching and supervising graduate research in irrigation, drainage, and remote sensing. His research interests are centered on Environmental Monitoring using geotechnologies, agrometeorological modeling, evapotranspiration, water balance, agricultural water productivity, and land-use change analysis. Prof. Dr. Antonio Teixeira’s research skills include satellite-based remote sensing, geoprocessing, environmental impact indicators, agroclimatic zoning, and modeling of water and energy balances. His awards and honors include international doctoral training and continuous academic appointments reflecting his scientific leadership. In conclusion, Prof. Dr. Antonio Teixeira stands as a leading authority in Environmental Monitoring, integrating science, technology, and education to support sustainable management of agricultural and natural resources.
