Pita Mwaitolage Donald, born on 8th February 1990, is an educator and mathematician passionate about mathematical modeling and its applications in various fields. His journey in academia and research reflects a commitment to advancing mathematical understanding and its practical implications.

π Education:
Pita embarked on his academic journey with a keen interest in mathematics. He completed his Master of Science in Applied Mathematics with first-class honors from NM-AIST, Arusha, Tanzania, between 2022 and 2024. Prior to this, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education Informatics and Mathematics with a second-class honors from Sokoine University of Agriculture in 2015. His foundational education included Advanced and Ordinary Secondary School Education at Njombe High School and Iponjola Secondary School, respectively, where his aptitude in mathematics first flourished.
πΌ Experience:
Pita currently serves as a Mathematics Tutor at the National Institute of Transport (NIT) since March 2019. In this role, he instructs students in Engineering Mathematics, Business Mathematics, and Business Statistics from NTA level 4 to NTA level 6. His responsibilities also include developing teaching materials tailored to various educational levels. Prior to NIT, Pita dedicated two years as a Mathematics Teacher at Kabanga High School, where he not only taught Basic Mathematics and Applied Mathematics but also managed computer lab maintenance and assessments for Information and Computer Studies (ICS) subjects. His experience also includes a stint as a Research Assistant at AGDEVCo, where he assisted in data collection for agricultural research projects.

Pita’s academic pursuits are centered around Mathematical Modeling, Time Series Modeling, and Epidemiological Modeling. His research aims to leverage mathematical techniques to simulate and understand real-world phenomena, contributing to solutions in transportation, environmental impact assessment, and public health.

Recognized for his academic prowess early in his career, Pita received the Top Achiever Award in Mathematics & Physics from Iponjola Secondary School in 2009. This acknowledgment underscored his dedication to mastering scientific disciplines from a young age.
