 Irina completed her medical studies at the Faculty of Medicine, “Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in 2016. She is currently pursuing her PhD at the same institution, focusing on endocrinology. Additionally, she holds a clinician attestation in osteoporosis, reflecting her specialized knowledge in densitometry and bone health.

Experience

Irina has a rich background in medical practice and education. She has served as a medical resident in endocrinology at “Elias” Emergency University Hospital and in laboratory medicine at the Faculty of Dentistry. Currently, she is an associate university teaching assistant, guiding 5th-year medical students in endocrinology and engaging in both didactic and research activities.

Research Interests

Irina’s research interests encompass a broad range of topics within endocrinology and laboratory medicine. She focuses on osteoporosis, cardiovascular risk assessment in postmenopausal women, and the impact of primary hyperparathyroidism on bone health. Her work often involves advanced imaging techniques and biochemical analyses to improve diagnostic and treatment approaches.

Awards

Irina has been recognized for her contributions to endocrinology with multiple awards. She won 2nd place for her poster presentation at the 26th Edition of the Romanian National Congress of Endocrinology in 2018 and 3rd place at the 6th Edition of the Romanian National Congress of Neuroendocrinology in the same year.
