He further pursued his passion for chemistry by attaining a Master's degree in Physical Chemistry from Nizam College (Autonomous), Osmania University, Hyderabad, India, in 2003. This solid foundation led him to pursue a Ph.D. in Physical Organic Chemistry from Osmania University, Hyderabad, India, where he delved into the realm of catalysis.

From June 2003 to March 2004, he gained valuable experience as a Project Trainee at G.V.K. Bio Science Lab Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad, Telangana, India. Following this, he served as a Lecturer at A.V. College, P.G. Centre, Gagan Mahal, Hyderabad, Telangana, India, from April 2004 to June 2007. Since July 2007, Dr. Kola has been dedicatedly contributing to academia as an Assistant Professor at Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (A), Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
