Dr. Ramesh Kumar embarked on his academic journey with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree from A. N. College, Magadh University, Bodhgaya, India, in 2011. He continued his pursuit of knowledge by completing a Master of Science (M.Sc.) from Pondicherry University, Puducherry, in 2013. His academic trajectory took an international turn when he engaged in MS by Research in Glaciology at Kathmandu University, Nepal, in 2016. This early academic foundation laid the groundwork for his subsequent contributions in the field of environmental science.

Dr. Kumar's professional journey is marked by dedication and progression. He transitioned from a Project Assistant at Sharda University, Greater Noida, from August 2013 to June 2016, to a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) at the same institution from July 2016 to July 2017. His role expanded further as he assumed the position of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) at Sharda University, contributing significantly from August 2017 to June 2020. Currently, he holds the esteemed position of Research Associate at the Central University of Rajasthan, commencing from August 10, 2021.
