Sunanda Mishra, born on November 4th, 1995, is a passionate researcher specializing in environmental microbiology and biotechnology. She is dedicated to studying the impact of synthetic microfibers on aquatic ecosystems and exploring sustainable solutions for environmental pollution.

📚 Education:

Sunanda completed her schooling from S.D. Girls’ High School in Dhenkanal, Odisha, excelling with 85.33% in her 10th grade. She pursued her higher secondary education at M.G.M. Jr. College, Pubasasan, Uttara, Bhubaneswar, and graduated with a B.Sc. in Botany from College of Basic Science and Humanities, OUAT, Bhubaneswar. She furthered her education with a PG in Botany and M.Phil in Life Sciences from Rama Devi Women’s University, Bhubaneswar. Currently, she is pursuing her Ph.D. in Botany at College of Basic Science and Humanities, OUAT, focusing on environmental biotechnology.

💼 Experience:

With a keen interest in teaching, Sunanda served as a Lecturer in Botany at Gayatri +3 Science College from February 2020 to September 2021. She has also earned a Post Graduation Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA), enhancing her skills in computational analysis and research.

🔬 Research Interests:

Sunanda’s research primarily revolves around the detection, characterization, and remediation of synthetic microfibers and other environmental pollutants using microbial biotechnology. Her current focus includes the isolation of indigenous microbial strains for biodegradation of microplastics in contaminated environments.

Throughout her academic and professional journey, Sunanda has received recognition for her outstanding contributions to environmental science and microbiology. She actively participates in conferences and workshops to present her research findings and innovative solutions.
