Motor Control has been the central focus of Assist. Prof. Dr. Chuanyu Sun’s academic, research, and professional career, establishing him as a leading expert in high-power density motor controllers, mechatronics systems, and third-generation maglev artificial heart technology. Assist. Prof. Dr. Chuanyu Sun earned his Ph.D. in Mechatronics Engineering from Shandong University of Science and Technology, laying a strong foundation in advanced motor design, digital control systems, and intelligent automation. Since completing his doctoral studies, Assist. Prof. Dr. Chuanyu Sun has accumulated extensive teaching and research experience, initially serving in the School of Mechatronics Engineering at Shandong University of Science and Technology before joining the School of Automation and Electrical Engineering at Linyi University. Throughout his academic journey, Assist. Prof. Dr. Chuanyu Sun has cultivated expertise in both the theoretical and practical aspects of motor control, integrating principles of electrical engineering, embedded systems, and control theory into classroom instruction and laboratory research. His primary research interests include motor control for low-altitude aircraft, the development of digital twin collaborative monitoring and management software for motor systems, and the design of third-generation maglev artificial heart technology, with five major project grants supporting his innovations. Assist. Prof. Dr. Chuanyu Sun has also demonstrated proficiency in teaching complex subjects such as Electrical Control and PLC, Principle and Application of STM32 Microcomputer, Electrical and Electronic Technology, and Object-Oriented Programming, emphasizing practical skills using Siemens S7 PLC, Rockwell Micro850 PLC, STM32 microcontrollers, TMS320F28 DSP controllers, MATLAB, and advanced C# programming. Beyond teaching, Assist. Prof. Dr. Chuanyu Sun has led and participated in over 30 scientific research projects, six of which were government-supported at provincial or municipal levels as principal investigator, producing a significant body of scholarly work including 55 research and teaching papers (with 10 indexed by SCI, six by EI, one by ISTP, and one by CPCI), 18 authorized invention patents, 31 authorized utility model patents, and nine software copyrights. His dedication to professional excellence has earned him multiple awards, including the First Prize of Science and Technology of China General Chamber of Commerce, the Third Prize of Shandong Provincial Science and Technology Invention Award, the Second Prize of China National Coal Industry Science and Technology Award, and the Second Prize in both the Shandong Provincial College Teachers’ Teaching Innovation Competition and the 9th China Aviation Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. As a supervisor, Assist. Prof. Dr. Chuanyu Sun has guided 18 postgraduate students, with a mix of graduates, current students, and joint supervisees, while serving as an expert reviewer for undergraduate theses, national postgraduate evaluations, and international journals such as the American Journal of Applied Mathematics. His research skills are highly interdisciplinary, encompassing motor control design, real-time digital twin simulation, high-power drive optimization, mechatronics integration, advanced programming, and experimental validation, making him a sought-after expert for both academic and industrial collaborations. With membership in five major Chinese engineering and automation societies and extensive social service experience in seven corporations, Assist. Prof. Dr. Chuanyu Sun continues to contribute significantly to scientific advancement, industrial problem-solving, and education, cementing his reputation as a leader in motor control, mechatronics, and innovative technology development. Short Biography

Dr. Getachew Nadew is a passionate educator and researcher with a strong background in electrical engineering and economics. He obtained his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Mekelle University, Ethiopia, specializing in optical character recognition. He later pursued a Master’s in Technology in Microelectronics Engineering at Addis Ababa University, focusing on VLSI and analog integrated circuits. Dr. Getachew holds a Master’s degree in Control Engineering from Addis Ababa University, where his thesis on grid-connected microhydro power systems demonstrated his expertise in renewable energy solutions. Currently, he is pursuing a Ph.D. in Automation and Control at National Taiwan University of Science and Technology.

Dr. Getachew Nadew’s career in academia began at Ambo University, Ethiopia, where he served as a Lecturer in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department. Over the years, he took on various roles including Institute of Technology Research Team Leader and Department Head. He also served as the Institute of Technology Campus Student Service Dean, enriching student life and fostering academic excellence until September 2022.
