Simin Janitabar Darzi earned her Ph.D. in Chemistry from Tarbiat Modares University, Tehran, Iran, in 2009. Her dissertation titled “Synthesis and characterization of some Modified Nanostructured TiO2 and study of their efficiency in eliminating heavy metal and organic contaminants” showcased her early contributions to the field.

Simin Janitabar Darzi serves as a Faculty Member and Associate Professor at the Nuclear Science & Technology Research Institute in Tehran since 2009. Her research spans green chemistry, nanomaterials, composites, and waste management, with a focus on photocatalysis and adsorption systems.
Simin has supervised numerous MSc and Ph.D. projects at various universities including Islamic Azad University and Tarbiat Modares University, where she also advises on drug synthesis and evaluation projects.
