She completed her Ph.D. in Accounting at a reputable university, following which she joined academia, gaining professional experience as an assistant professor teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in accounting, financial management and sustainability reporting. Her research interests centre around corporate sustainability risk, financial distress, governance mechanisms and financial performance in emerging markets, particularly in the GCC region. She has developed research skills including quantitative modelling, econometric panel data analysis, sustainability reporting assessment and financial risk measurement, and has led or contributed to international research collaborations focused on ESG-linked financial performance. Dr. Nomer has published in Scopus-indexed journals, including a notable article titled “Sustainability Risk Management and Financial Distress: The Moderating Role of Financial Performance in Saudi Firms” in Sustainability.
