👨‍🎓 Education

Pradosh Kumar Parida is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Agronomy at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. He completed his Master of Science in Agronomy from Central Agricultural University, Umiam, Meghalaya, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from Centurion University of Technology and Management, Odisha.

🌱 Experience

As the National Secretary (GA) for AIASA since 2016, Pradosh has enhanced team dynamics and promoted social welfare in agriculture and allied sectors. He also served as a Trainer for the Agri RPL Project in Odisha, where he led training initiatives for farmers under the PMVKY scheme. Earlier, he interned as an Agriculturist with CIMMYT, contributing to maize productivity through the CSISA project.

🔬 Research Interests

Pradosh Kumar Parida’s research focuses on optimizing farming practices using ITK-based formulations for weed management in organic maize-cowpea systems. His projects also explore crop performance under varying conditions and organic mulching effects on water productivity and soil temperature.

🏆 Awards

Pradosh Kumar Parida has received several accolades, including the Young Researchers Award at the International Conference on Climate Resilient Agriculture and the Best Oral Presentation Award at the National Conference on Food Security to Nutritional Security. His achievements also include the Awaahan-AIASA 2018 National Award and the 1st Rank in Poster Making at SPARDHA’18.
